FAVE stands for Frequencies Aligning Various Energies.
An idea that informs how we approach music, collaboration and the spaces in which sound is experienced.
Rooted in Kerala and Rome, FAVE Records is an independent music label and creative platform working across electronic production,
live instrumentation, experimental sound and contemporary musical practices.
We bring artists, ideas and influences into conversation through releases, curated gatherings and projects that explore the relationship between sound, material and culture.
An approach to sound
We begin with listening. Mood, texture, rhythm, space and context shape how we understand a piece of music. Some works are made for movement; others invite a more introspective or exploratory experience. Each is allowed to develop on its own terms. An analog-focused approach runs through our practice, informing our interest in physical formats, recording processes, instruments and the material experience of music. Vinyl holds a particular place in this approach, alongside digital releases and other ways of sharing sound.
Between places, through music
Kerala and Rome are important points of reference in our work. They connect different creative communities and ways of thinking about sound. Our interest in collaboration lies in the exchange itself: what happens when musicians bring their own experiences, instruments, methods and environments into a shared process. We see FAVE as a space where these encounters can develop into releases, performances and ideas that continue beyond a single moment.
Beyond the label
Our work extends into audiovisual projects, curated listening experiences and the developing documentation of instruments and sonic environments. These initiatives reflect a continuing interest in how music is made, experienced and remembered.
